1. What SiraNiko! is

SiraNiko! is a free, hobby-built tool that gives AI-generated and community-sourced troubleshooting suggestions for broken devices. It is not a professional repair service, and nobody on this project is a licensed electrician, technician, or engineer unless they explicitly say so in a forum reply.

2. Safety — read this part

Some diagnoses involve electrical panels, appliances, or wiring. Use your own judgment and follow local safety codes. If a step feels unsafe, stop and call a licensed professional. SiraNiko!, its creator, and its community contributors are not liable for injury, property damage, or further device damage resulting from following any suggestion given by the AI or by other users.

3. AI accuracy

Diagnoses are generated by the selected AI provider based on a photo and, sometimes, limited text. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Nothing here is a guarantee of accuracy.

4. Community content

Forum posts and replies are written by other users (or anonymous guests using a self-chosen nickname) and are not reviewed or verified before publishing. SiraNiko! does not endorse or vouch for any community answer. Use a report button if you see something harmful, false, or abusive — reports are reviewed manually by the project maintainer as time allows.

5. Accounts

Accounts use passkeys (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or similar) — no password is ever stored. You may also participate as a guest using only a nickname, with no account created. Guest nicknames are not verified and can be reused by anyone.

6. Photos you upload

Photos you upload for diagnosis may be sent to a third-party AI provider for analysis, and may be stored to power your diagnosis history and any forum post you choose to attach them to. Don't upload photos containing sensitive personal information you wouldn't want potentially visible to other users (for community forum posts) or retained in storage.

7. No warranty

SiraNiko! is provided "as is," free of charge, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. The project may change, break, or be discontinued at any time without notice.

8. Age

SiraNiko! is not directed at children. If you are under the age appropriate for entering contracts in your jurisdiction, please only use this with a parent or guardian's involvement.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated as the project grows. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
